The mission of Global Communities (formerly CHF International) is to create long-lasting, positive and community-led change that improves the lives and livelihoods of vulnerable people across the globe.

Global Communities is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager for an anticipated 5 year, $10-15 million an USAID-funded project in Nicaragua. This activity will enable citizens to enhance local development through effective engagement and advocacy with local authorities and other relevant actors on community-driven needs utilizing pluralistic citizen participation.


The MEL manager will ensure that the activity is adequately monitored and provide assistance to the COP in support of Impact Evaluation considerations and in identifying activity’s political, social and experimental risks.


  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, management, engineering, sociology, economy, statistics or other related areas, plus at least one year of similar post-graduate education.
  • A minimum of 6 years of MEL experience, of which a minimum of 3 years of previous experience working with international cooperation agencies is required.
  • Experience working on a USAID program strongly preferred.
  • Experience working on MEL programs that utilize Community Driven Development (CDD) strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience with experimental or quasi-experimental research design is preferred.
  • FSI Level 3/3 fluency in English and FSI Level 5/5 Spanish required.
